Who is Advanced Air, LLC?

Advanced Air is an aircraft operator based in Los Angeles, CA. Offering scheduled service within the Southwestern United States and aircraft charter worldwide, the company features VIP service with a diversified portfolio of private aircraft. The company operates under FAA Part 135 Air Carrier Certificate 19AA699L with Commuter Authority from the Department of Transportation.

What kind of aircraft do you use?

Advanced Air EAS routes will be flown on King Air 350s. The King Air is a 9-seat, twin engine turboprop aircraft with club seating.  Mammoth routes will be flown on 30 seat Dornier 328 regional Jets, and occasionally a King Air.

What items are prohibited onboard?

Please visit the TSA website for additional information on prohibited items. 

Please note: Advanced Air is aware of various state laws that allow recreational or medical marijuana possession, however, federal law prohibits the carriage of marijuana, including medical marijuana. Guests in possession, whether on their person or in their baggage will be subject to federal regulations.

What documents do I need for travel?

All passengers age eighteen (18) and over must present their confirmation code and a valid (unexpired) government issued ID to check in and board their flight. A list of valid identification can be found here.  

Effective October 1, 2021, all travelers will need to comply with Federal Real ID requirements. Learn more here.

If a passenger has an expired license, the passenger may still board with a credit card in their name AND one of the following original, unexpired forms of identification:

  • Birth Certificate
  • Social Security Card
  • Car registration
  • VA Card with SS# on it and with picture preferred
  • Military ID with Photo
  • Permanent Resident Card with Photo
  • Passport
  • NEXUS card issued by Canadian or US border authorities or any other Government issued Photo ID that is current

When do I need to arrive for my flight?

At all locations, we require all passengers and baggage to be checked in no later than thirty (30) minutes prior to scheduled departure time. Flights will board fifteen (15) minutes prior to departure.

All Passengers must be on board the aircraft five (5) minutes prior to scheduled departure time.

Please allow additional time if you are traveling with a firearm, animal, need additional assistance or are traveling as an unaccompanied minor.

How are passengers notified of flight changes?

Any flight updates will be communicated a courtesy phone call and/or email as time allows. If you booked your flight through a travel agent or any other third party, updates will be communicated by them.

How can I change my flight?

If there is availability, you may change your flight up to two (2) hours prior to departure on the My Bookings tab on the Advanced Air website. Currently there is no change fee, however a fare difference may apply.

Can I change the name on my ticket?

All Advanced Air tickets are non-transferable with the exception of bulk ticket booklets.

How can I request a refund?

If you purchased a refundable ticket, you may request a refund if the flight(s) are cancelled no less than thirty (30) minutes prior to departure.

If you purchased a non-refundable ticket, you may request a flight credit if the flight(s) are cancelled no less than thirty (30) minutes prior to departure. Flight credits are non-transferable and must be booked and flown within one (1) year. Please note there may be a fare difference to reinstate your ticket if the original class of service is no longer available.

*The only exception to either policy is the Department of Transportation mandated “24 Hour Rule”. If you purchased a ticket 7 days or more prior to the scheduled departure time, you are eligible for a full refund regardless of the fare class purchased within 24 hours of booking.

If a passenger no-shows/no-calls on any portion of their reservation whether refundable or non-refundable, remaining flights will automatically be cancelled and all funds will be forfeited.

Residual dollars will not be refunded should a lower class of service become available.

I booked on a third party website. How do I make changes or request a refund?

Please contact the third party with which you booked for all changes. Advanced Air is unable to change and/or refund third party bookings.

What is your firearm policy?

Passengers may travel with unloaded firearms as checked baggage provided they comply with all federal, state and TSA regulations. Upon check in, we will require valid documentation and a declaration of unloaded firearms. Firearms must be in a hard-sided case with a TSA approved lock must comply with baggage size and weight restrictions.

Ammo must be be in original packaging and must be eleven (11) pounds total or less.

Can unaccompanied minors fly?

Yes, if over the age of seven (7) and have not yet reached their fifteenth (15) birthday. Advanced Air does not offer unaccompanied minor service connecting to or from other flights; be they on Advanced Air or another Carrier. This service is only offered on direct, nonstop Advanced Air. Unaccompanied minors must comply with our policies, documentation for drop off and pick up; this includes but is not limited to being prepared to drop off the passenger while remaining with them until take off and picking up the passenger on time from the arrival airport.  Failure to comply can cause serious disruptions to operations, please ensure the guardian(s) and unaccompanied minor are fully prepared to comply prior to booking. Unaccompanied minors shall not be released to anyone on their contact list without government issued photo identification.

Teenagers from age fifteen (15) to eighteen (18) may fly unaccompanied without ID or additional documentation. Passengers of this age will be treated as an adult and do not require the unaccompanied minor procedures. 

How do I add my lap infant to my reservation?

You will be able to add your lap infant through the Advanced Air website. Lap infants under the age of two (2) are required to be ticketed on your reservation at no additional cost.

Due to the amount of oxygen masks on our aircraft, we may limit the amount of lap infants onboard. If there is already an infant booked on your desired flight, you may wish to consider purchasing a seat for your infant or book an alternate flight. Should you purchase a seat, they must have a FAA approved child restraint system and be seated in this for the duration of the flight.

Advanced Air reserves the right to request a copy of the birth certificate for lap infants.

Can animals fly?

Due to limited capacity and varying requirements per aircraft type, passengers must call 1-800-393-7035 or email bookings@advancedairlines.com to confirm this request.  

Passengers traveling with pets should be advised that passengers traveling with a service animal may take priority.

Passengers who require extra assistance or have any other requests should call 1-800-393-7035 or email bookings@advancedairlines.com prior to booking to ensure that our customer service agents can best accommodate you on the ground and onboard.

COVID-19: All passengers are required to wear face coverings.
